Video streaming is available for checkout at the Bartlett Library in the form of VUDU Sparks.
VUDU Sparks are thumb drives that contain 50 movies and numerous television series. In order to use the devices, a patron must have WiFi at home and a television with HDMI and USB ports.
When a patron checks out a VUDU Spark, he will get a pouch that contains a VUDU Spark thumb drive, remote control and a micro USB power cord.
How it works: Patrons will plug the VUDU Spark into the TV’s HDMI port, plug the micro USB power cord in the VUDU Spark and a USB port on the TV, then change the TV’s input to HDMI. It is at this point that patrons connect to the WiFi in their homes.
Once a WiFi network is chosen, the VUDU Spark will remember that specified network. However, if it is so desired, patrons can access the settings to switch networks whenever they want.
The VUDU Sparks are available for Bartlett Public Library District residents to enjoy, and can be checked out for the duration of a week.
